Dar it-Torri (Tower House) is named after the beautiful 200-year-old watchtower in the property’s garden that was erected by the British as part of their military defence system in the northern part of the island. The tower now forms an integral part of the meticulously maintained property grounds; a genuine historical landmark right on your doorstep.
The villa itself was constructed in 1998, and it is built entirely from Globigerina limestone: the traditional Maltese stone that gives so many local buildings their characteristic honey-hued appearance.
The property’s interior boasts a rustic design and various architectural elements typical of historic Maltese buildings, such as flagstone stairs and arched ceilings in the siting and dining rooms. Modern comforts and facilities blend seamlessly with the traditional design and give guests the best of both worlds in a warm, comfortable environment that feels just like a personal family retreat.
More than a house at the top of the hill
The villa features five spacious bedrooms, a farmhouse-style kitchen, and a lounge and dining area, making it ideal for families and groups as it affords the perfect mix of privacy and conviviality. Every room enjoys ample natural light and the property is fully air-conditioned.
Grab a towel and take a dip in the sizeable pool, relax with a good book on the sun deck, or go for a stroll around the delightful garden. After you’re done soaking in the Mediterranean sun, head inside and enjoy a peaceful meal in the kitchen or entertain in style with friends.
Is it time to call it a day already? Then sink into one of the comfortable beds lined with fine Egyptian cotton and regain your energy for another day full of whatever you enjoy doing most!
